After two weeks of testing geography apps for the iPad, and taking copious notes, the 5th grade students formed groups and began collaboratively writing their narrative app reviews. Before they started writing I prompted them to think as a group about what should go into their reviews. I wanted them to collaboratively create some standard expectations about the content of their writing.

After that, we split up and they used Google Docs to start their group drafts. We plan to wrap up next week by proofing their writing and posting their reviews to a Google Site for sharing with the rest of The School… or maybe beyond.
